Why Use Google Adsense?

Without a doubt, you have heard about Google AdSense and you are considering trying it. But is it really worth placing an AdSense banner on your site? The answer is a definite yes. You could still have another banner on your site, or even use an affiliate ad program search and that would probably make you a little money, given of course that your site benefits from a healthy amount of visitors.

However, with affiliate marketing, it is expected that the visitor to your website makes a sale before you are paid. But that’s far from what you get using AdSense. There are people who earn more than $100,000 a year using AdSense. And it doesn’t stop at making more money. First of all, ads are just text. This means they are much less annoying to your visitors than your average flashy banner designed to grab the visitor’s attention.

Of course, you will have to make sure that they get a better placement, in order to be noticed, but despite this, they do not bother viewers as much as traditional advertisements. Think about the many sites you have seen using pop-ups, floating banners and many other schemes that will have angry visitors every time they visit said site. You can actually do better than that, annoy people less and still earn an amount of money.

Secondly, ads are automatically generated based on the content of your site. When using an affiliate ads program, you must specify certain categories to which your sites belong. However, if a page on your site falls outside these categories, banners are no longer targeted. And what that means is that you’re potentially running ads to people who aren’t interested in them and that can lead to inefficiencies.

With Google AdSense, this almost never happens: the ads on your site will always be synchronized with what interests your visitors and it adds value to your site and the revenue it generates. In addition, the appearance of these banners and their size are customizable, which means that they will feel more integrated with the rest of your site’s content, increasing the overall visual quality of your site as opposed to a traditional approach.

For many people, there is also a big problem with finding people to advertise on their site as well. AdSense is clearly the simplest solution to this problem today. It is free to join the AdSense program and it takes almost no time. The potential database of AdWords websites is larger than anything you might encounter from any competitor, with over 150,000 users. This means that more people will compete with CPC or the cost per click for search terms will inevitably increase.

Also, setting up AdSense on your site is a breeze and you can complete the whole process in less than an hour. It takes much less than any form of affiliate advertising that is yet another reason to choose the easy AdSense approach. All you need to do is add an AdSense banner on your website (other than signing up for the program of course) is copy and paste a few lines and you’re done, you can choose where the banners go, their size and how they fit with the rest of your site.

For any webmaster out there, it’s a killer scheme because it lets you draw the line between the usability level of your site and the amount of advertising you want to have. Some people greatly need this money while others just maintain AdSense to pay for hosting their website. AdSense is an excellent advertising program because a lot of thinking has been done to make it "just functional for everyone". It works great for people who use AdWords, for webmasters who use AdSense, and especially for website visitors.
