Tools for Adsense

If you’re just getting on the AdSense train and looking for a quick way to make the profits you’ve seen on the internet, you might be interested in a few tools. These software tools are designed to help AdSense publishers better understand how traffic flows on their site.

Some will help you understand which keywords are making you more money and which sites are offering you the best AdSense payment. One of the best tools available is AdSense Gold (http://www.profitbooks.com/go/astracker), which allows you to better understand which ads and formats get the most clicks and which are useful or almost useless.

This program works by tracking views and clicks on all pages of the editor. It even goes so far as to offer you the opportunity to see which referent each visitor came through. There is a free tool called SynSense (http://www.singerscreations.com/RSS/Posts/235.asp) that is more of an AdSense monitoring tool.

It is located in the status bar and offers updated AdSense statistics when you hover over its icon. It is a very good tool for those who like to be informed about how their AdSense is doing at any time of the day.

Google provides you with statistics in csv format on their site. So someone created a tool that can automatically download these files and extract a lot of information from them. The name of this tool is CSV AdStats and is available at http://www.nix.fr/en/csvadstats.aspx?q=download

It has a large number of features, including the ability to strongly customize reported statistics, export data and charts to other formats. It’s in French, but the language can very easily be changed to English.

Of course, any tool can access these statistics only as often as 15 minutes, but the authors are well aware of this fact and none of these tools will cause you problems with Google for this reason.

If, however, you browse the content most of the time, and your tool of choice is the Firefox Internet browser, there is an extension for this program that allows you to see the statistics in your status bar.

Again, this software is aware of Google’s 15-minute rule and applies its usage, 15 minutes being the minimum time between updates. The Google AdSense for Firefox notifier is available at http://code.mincus.com/? p=3

There is also a program called Golden Keywords that helps you get the best keywords for your site. It is really efficient and very easy to use. It comes with a price tag, costs $49.95 and is available at http://www.regnow.com/softsell/nph-softsell.cgi?item=8616-2

So, as you can see, software developers are doing more and more programs to help you in your quest to maximize your AdSense profits. But before you go looking for them, remember that Google also has some features.

It offers some reports (although a little more limited) and using the 'channels' feature is a good way to know which ads on your site really bring most of the revenue. Be on the lookout for new tools that appear daily and make sure you invest time in your site, as this is the real key to success with AdSense.
